SPRING BREAK!

Oh boy! How I adore spring break! I have been sleeping in, reading, and doing some wedding planning.

I just finished reading "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks. I could hardly put it down. It's an unusual story about falling in love.
We spent the weekend in Wickes/Nashville. We finished up our registry and started marriage counseling.

I have been COOKING! (gasp!) This girl does not cook! I made Jonathan breakfast Monday for his first day of work, then I made sweet and sour meatballs for dinner last night. Tonight is lasagna and apple dumplings (from scratch!)

Speaking of Jonathan's first day! He LOVED it! He has his own desk.. duh... but he has space for a small fridge and he's excited about that. Mr. Risk Engineer got a laptop for his travels, a credit card, and a cell phone. He is feeling like a big wig right about now. He will be gone two weeks in April traveling for work.

Then in May I will (most likely) be in Fayetteville for clinicals for two weeks. Talk about a rough month or so.

Our engagement photos are getting taken this weekend! YAY! I'll upload them as soon as I get them back. I am very excited. Despite my pale self I couldn't be more ready. Jonathan is already super tan (more than his normal tan) so I'm kind of sad about that but it's just who I am.

Tomorrow, I will hopefully be printing wedding invitations and starting to address them. They won't be mailed until May but my class schedule will keep getting busier until then. Also, showers will be right around the corner and I don't want to be writing thank you cards and invitations at the same time... talk about way in over my head...

Until next time... :)

Nicholas Sparks!

Nicholas Sparks was at UCA last night and Jocelyn, Caitlin, and I went and heard him lecture and got our books signed. He spoke about his life that led him to being an author, his inspiration behind several books, and his family. It was funny, sad, and eye opening all at the same time. Sparks is a wonderful speaker. When it was our turn to meet him he was so genuine. He gave each of us our individual time and he signed autographs until every single person in line was able to meet him. I have even more respect for him now. I started "The Lucky One" last night. I'm sure I'll end up reading all of his books now. :)

God Answers Prayers

I feel for this post I should start with the background story... Jonathan got an internship last spring at AMC. He worked for free for the semester in hopes that they would offer him a job in May when he graduated. In March they told him that an offer would be made so he turned down a job at State Farm in Tulsa. May came around and the offer fell through. The company had gotten bought out and had a hiring freeze. The economy was so poor that no one else was able to hire either. In later summer, a family friend introduced Jonathan to Glen and he has worked for him part time since then. This has been enough to pay the bills but is not a career move.

So.... We've prayed and asked that God will show us His plan and that in His time something wonderful would happen for Jonathan.

Thursday, Jonathan got a call from American Management Corporation in Conway. They asked him to come work for them, no interview, no waiting, they wanted him to start on Monday! We were both so shocked! This is what we had been waiting and praying about for a year!

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!

Jonathan will be starting in two weeks. We were so grateful to Glen for the job that he has now that we wanted to make sure he had enough time to get someone new in and trained before Jonathan left. So two weeks from tomorrow, my fiance will start as a risk manager for AMC in CONWAY!

Mr. Jonathan Todd Davidson, Risk Manager
^ok... I'm a little excited and a lot proud!

We went shopping for slacks and "professional attire". It was fun. I can tell that he is excited to start his career.

Please keep this new journey in your prayers.
